Capewell Aerial System’s Experience
Our client, Capewell Aerial System, came to us looking for urgent help with an important server that had begun to randomly shut down. What began as a quick emergency fix, turned into a lasting relationship when DefenDesk was able to save them days of downtime and a lot of money lost. A manufacturer of engineered products for aerial delivery, life support and tactical gear for military, law enforcement and humanitarian agencies worldwide, Capewell relies on their systems for sales management, order tracking, production, and delivery.
The Frustration
Capewell Aerial System, came to us looking for urgent help with an important server that had begun to randomly shut down. Unfortunately, the server was integral to Capewell’s day to day operations. Worried about the financial impact of being completely offline, and the negative customer experience it was creating, Capewell was looking for any and all support for their internal team that they could find.
The Fix
DefenDesk was on the scene ASAP. In under two hours we were able to migrate the data to a temporary secure offsite server, allowing Capewell to return to business as usual while we worked to replace their faulty server’s hardware and prepare to move the data back onsite. Everything worked seamlessly, and we were happy to have been able to save Capewell hours of downtime and the monetary loss they would have experienced.
Capewell’s internal IT expert, Nick Ashton, commented, “We would have been down a while,” Ashton admits. ‘We would have had to get new Equipment and everything, so, we’re looking at one day [of downtime] minimum, which is a lot of money. That server deals with our main software, which everybody uses from sales taking orders to the work orders, people telling us what we need to get… very critical.”
